November Nine competition down to three players

WSOP 2011 November Nine competition is down to threeThe WSOP 2011 November Nine competition has been underway, with six of the final nine players eliminated as of Sunday night. Three players from three countries remain: Pius Heinz from Germany, Ben Lamb from the United States, and Martin Staszko from the Czech Republic. They will continue playing one another on Tuesday.

The competition so far has been entertaining to behold, with the latest elimination proving to be one of the most thrilling hands of the day. American pro poker player Matt Giannetti was eliminated in a surprising twist by Ben Lamb late Sunday night. Giannetti seemed to be on top, but the flop was favourable to Lamb, and suddenly the competition was short one American player.

Most are confident that Pius Heinz, the current leader in chips, will be able to take the competition, but given the course of the final event so far it’s anyone’s guess who will take the championship and the millions of dollars in prize money. Be sure to stay tuned to see how the event progresses.
