EPT Sam Remo is shaping up to be a great tournament for players from Canada, with Chris McClung of Quebec heading into the fourth day of competition as the dominant leader of the pack. Even the latest WSOPE Main Event winner, American poker player Elio Fox, is nowhere near McClung heading into the next stage.
McClung is leading the remaining 64 players out of a field of more than 800, with Australian Daniel Neilson coming in a relatively distant second place. He took over the lead from Joseph Cheong who had held it coming into day three; Cheong is now sitting in fourth place with almost half a million fewer chips than the leading Canadian.
Play will continue on Tuesday. Stay tuned to see how these players do.
